Posting an ad on The Waymatic Online Classifieds
is so easy after
just one time you'll be a pro! Follow these simple steps and your ready to
sell it.
NOTE: Check
and see if your item is allowed on The Waymatic Online Classifieds. If it does not meet
the requirements, the item or service will be removed without notice. (Your
credit card will be refunded.) You can review the prohibited items here.
- The first step is to
register yourself with The Waymatic Online Classifieds. Click on the
"
 Register"
link under the "Membership" heading on the home page. Carefully
read the users agreement. Any violation of the users agreement will
result in your ad being removed from Waymatic Online Classifieds without notice.
If you agree with the user agreement, check the "I agree" field
and click the "Next" button.
- Simply fill in the required fields.
Your secure password will be sent to the email account that you specify
during registration. The password is the only way to access your
billing records and account information. Therefore, the password is
kept secret even from our administration staff. The encryption
technology is very complex, so we won't go into detail, but the only way to
recover your password, if you forget it, is to make an new one. When
you register, your information is encrypted and sent to our secure
server. No one has access to your account but you and the
administration staff at The Waymatic Online Classifieds.
- After you have gotten your
password in email, simply go to The Waymatic Online Classifieds and log in. There
two ways to do this. One is to click on the "login here"
link on the home page. (Top of the left menu) Or just click on the
"
 Place
Ad" link on the left side menu. Type in your Username
and password and click the "Login" button and you're in!
- After logging in you will
be at the Members Page. Here
you can access your account information, manage ads you have current, and
place new ads.
- Click on the "Create
An Ad" link under Classifieds Options.
- Answer the questions about
your ad:
- Would you like to upload an image?
Choose yes or no. If you show a picture of your item it will sell
faster. You can upload as many as you like for .75 cents a
piece. The process is explained in detail when prompted for your
picture in the process (Step 9) .
- Your contact information. These
fields are not required. If you would prefer buyers to contact
you through email rather than calling your phone number, leave that
field blank. (Your Username and email is automatically attached
to your ad for buyers.)
- Choose a category. This
field is required. This will let Waymatic Online Classifieds
know
where to put your item and it will help buyers find it faster. If
the item you have does not fit into any shown category, please put it in the
"Misc." category and send an email requesting an new category
to classifieds@waymatic.com
- Item Title. This
field is required. This is what buyers will see on the
list of possible items for sale in the category. You can name it
whatever you like, however, it recommended you name the item accurately
to avoid confusion.
- Number of days ad will run. This
field is required. Your ad can run up to one full year
from placement. When your ad is about to expire, Waymatic Online Classifieds
will
send you an email letting you know. You are free to re-list it,
without having to repeat the whole process by clicking the re-list
button in the Manage Your Ads area of the membership pages. (You will be
billed the same amount as your first listing to re-list the ad.)
- Price. This field is not
required. If you prefer not to list a price for the item or
service you are listing, just leave this field blank. We recommend
that you list a price if you do not want to answer that question for the
hundreds of emails you may receive. A price will limit your
contacts to serious buyers only.
- Link. This field is not
required. This field is where you can link off to a web page
that may give further details such as a personal page with pictures of
your item. If you have created your own site for the item you want to
sell, you can use the HTML code is step 8 to make your ad look like your
web page.
- Description. This
field is required. Here is the meat of your ad.
You are not limited by amount. You may put as much information in
this field as you like. You can use HTML tags to make your
description really stand out. Click the "
 "
Help link to see some the tags you can use.
- Upload your image. (If you
chose "no" in step 1 you can skip to step 10.) If
you chose "Yes" in step one, read the information on the page
to upload your image or images.
- Include your ad in the gallery view?
Choose yes or no. Gallery items are designated with the special
"Gallery" icon
, and are chosen using the "Gallery View" option. An item must
have an image to be a "Gallery" item.
- BONUS FEATURES:
- Boldface Title. "Bold"
items are listed with bold titles under their respective categories,
and in search results.
- Featured.
"Featured" items are the most attention getting listings
available. They are listed at the top of their respective
categories, and randomly get featured on the default page.
- Premiere. "Premiere"
listings are much like "Gallery" listings, but they do not
need to have an image. "Premiere" listings get listed with
the "Premiere" Icon, and can be viewed by choosing the
"View Premiere" option.
- Special Icons. Choose
only one. The "Special Icon" you choose will get listed
alongside your ad title. "Special Icons" draw attention to
your listing and they allow you to give your ad a little bit of a
personal touch.

- Review your ad. Check to
make sure all the information is correct in your ad. Once you
click the "Finish" button you will not be able to edit the
content of your ad. If you find a mistake, click the
"Back" button to that section and fix it.
- View your total charges and receive
your confirmation email. Click the link at the bottom of this
section to view your ad right away as it is listed on Waymatic Online Classifieds.
Then go to the home page and try a search for your ad.
THAT'S IT now your ready to sell!
